Sad news came this week that Phil Chevron, guitarist for the Pogues, as well as legendary Irish punks Radiators from Space, lost his battle with cancer at age 56. I had the great fortune and honor of interviewing him last year when the Radiators' "Trouble Pilgrim" was released here in the states. I figured rather than try to write some kind of eulogy like everyone else, I'd re-post that interview here as tribute to his life, his body of work, and his well earned reputation as a lovely man. It's been well over a year, I know. I keep meaning to write, I've started and stopped more times than I care to admit. I don't know if it's writer's block, inertia, too much going on elsewhere, or what. All I know is I've neglected this blog for far too long. I'll be writing more very soon.
